When we created
Weisshorn Glacier Gin
we wanted to share our love
of the Swiss Alps'
fresh mountain air,
soft, pure water, and
summer alpine meadows and flowers.
To capture this feeling we use a
special technique called
Cold Distillation
It results in a smoother,
more luxurious gin,
with delicate aromatics.
We hope you enjoy drinking it
as much as we enjoy making it.

Weisshorn Glacier Gin comes in 3 strengths
The classic at 43.1% is perfect for sipping
and goes nicely with tonic in a 1:1 ratio.
Our Wild Juniper Glacier Gin,with fresh green Juniper
from the shores of Lac Noir at 2500m altitude,
is bottled at 47.1% and makes fine
Gin Martinis and Negronis.
For people who like their gin strong we have
Weisshorn Swiss Navy Gin bottled at 57.1%.

DISTILLING ABOVE THE CLOUDS
Weisshorn Glacier Gin is handcrafted in Chandolin,
a picturesque village perched 2000 metres high
in the Val d'Anniviers:
the valley of the Weisshorn mountain.
Our micro-distillery is tucked away in the mountains
at the foot of an alpine forest with a stream
running beneath it and meadows below it
where local cows come up to graze
in the summer months.

BOTANICALS
By cold distilling Juniper we preserve the gentler,
herbal notes that are usually lost in hot distillation.
We combine this with 11 other botanicals including
Edelweiss with its warm Liquorice-like notes,
Elderflower for floral, Glacier Genepi for herbal
and Gold and Blue Clovers for summer grassy notes

COLD DISTILLATION
We use Cold Distillation techniques
more commonly found
in the perfume industry to preserve
the flavours and aromas of the botanicals
as they occur in nature.
Unlike conventional "hot distillation"
where spirits are heated to around 80c,
Cold Distillation involves using
very low pressure to distill the botanicals
at temperatures closer to freezing point.
The resulting gin is smoother and captures
the natural freshness of the botanicals.

FROM WEISSHORN WITH LOVE...
If you're visiting London pop into the world-famous
Dukes Bar in Mayfair.
Ian Fleming, creator of James Bond,
was a regular at Dukes.
Here, Alessandro Palazzi and his expert team
will prepare you a Glacier martini with our
limited edition
Wild Juniper Glacier Gin.
Each summer we handpick fresh, green juniper berries
from the shores of an alpine lake situated at
2500m altitude above Chandolin.
If you're in Quebec City in Canada you can also find our
Wild Juniper Glacier Gin behind the
1608 Bar at the Fairmont Chateau Frontenac.
